Made with natural goat hide stretched over both sides of a durable wooden frame, this instrument produces calming, flowing sounds as the internal beads move across the surface, no beater required. You can however use the drum with a beater if preferred or as a shaker or by hand.

Each drum is unique, showcasing the organic textures and markings of the goat hide. By simply tilting and rotating the drum, you can create immersive ocean-like soundscapes, making it perfect for meditation, relaxation, sound healing, classroom use, or creating a calming and healing atmosphere.

Care Instructions:
Natural goat hide is sensitive to temperature and humidity. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or extreme heat, such as inside a car, as this can cause the skin to dry out, tighten excessively, or crack.

Humidity changes will affect the drum’s tone. In high humidity, the skin may loosen and soften the sound; in dry conditions, it may tighten and become sharper. You can gently warm the drum with your hands or near a mild heat source to slightly tighten the skin before use if needed.

To maintain the hide, apply a small amount of natural oil (such as shea butter, neatsfoot oil, or a light olive oil) once every 12 months. Always use sparingly and test a small area first, as some oils may alter the colour. Avoid heavy or solidifying oils like coconut oil.

With proper care, your ocean drum will continue to produce beautiful, flowing soundscapes for years to come.
